Village Hall

The Village Hall is situated in Mill Street, Middleton, with car parking adjacent to the building and a disabled parking space near the back door. The back door is also the wheelchair accessible entrance. It is available for general purpose hire by any person(s) over the age of 18, resident or non-resident of Middleton, subject to the terms and conditions set by the Management Committee. This committee is made up of representatives of the Parish Council, Community Council, W.I., Bowls Club and Church.

The interior consists of a main hall with wooden floor, smaller carpeted committee room, kitchen, toilets and entrance lobbies front and rear. There is a separate accessible toilet, double door entrances and a storage facility at the rear. A wooden stage of up to eight 4’ x 4’ sections is also available for hire.

The hall is fully equipped with padded (60) and utility (40) chairs, lightweight folding tables (18), crockery, cutlery and glassware, all of which may be hired independently of the hall. There is an electric cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave and 2 kettles in the newly refurbished kitchen, with three different sized urns also available on request.

The Hall is regularly in use by the Parish Council, Carpet Bowls Club, Pilates classes, W.I., Patchwork and Quilting group, Table tennis, and occasional use by the Church and Duke of Edinburgh Awards. The Committee Room is ideal for meetings such as the Community Council and Village Hall Management Committees. It is also the venue for fundraising events and parties run by the above organisations and is a Polling Station when required.
