Primary School
Founded in 1850, Middleton Primary School used to provide education just for the children of Middleton from an early age until they left school. Now the school provides education from children from the ages of 5-11 years, and coming from not only Middleton, but also from Westleton, Dunwich, Walberswick, Theberton, Eastbridge, Sizewell, Yoxford, Peasenhall, Sibton, Leiston and Saxmundham.
At the present time the school roll is about 36 children being taught in three classes. The school was recently rated 'Good' by Ofsted. The school is part of the Consortium Multi Academy Trust and is in a partnership with Yoxford and Peasenhall Primary School and Southwold Primary School.
Apart from the normal curriculum based teaching, the children also take part in annual events such a sports day on the village playing field, Harvest Festival and Carol Services held in the Church, and of course the Christmas productions which take place in the school hall.
